Summer Fun!

They finally opened the pool! We took Blake swimming and he LOVED it! He tried putting his face in the water but quickly learned that wasn't a good idea. I loved it too. When I am pregnant swimming is the only thing that makes me feel like I don't have a huge tummy. I feel so light!

We have also been doing a lot more hiking now that Matt's law school schedule has lightened up a bit. We love the beautiful scenery, but not so much the bugs. It's great that you only have to drive a few minutes to get to a lot of fun trails. My boys are so cute!

He did it!

For the past couple of months Blake has been really trying to get the hang of crawling. However, he just couldn't seem to figure it out. I began to think that he was just going to skip the crawling stage and start walking. But, I am proud to say that he is crawling! He wasn't crawling when Matt and I left for Hot Springs, but when we picked him up from the babysitters and brought him home he just started crawling like it was the easiest thing. We owe the babysitters big time!

Hot Springs

Matt and I decided that we would celebrate the first year of law school completed, an early 3rd year anniversary, a get a way before baby two comes and a break before life gets really busy again, by going on a short trip to Hot Springs. Some wonderful people in our ward watched Blake for us. Hot Springs is a beautiful place and we had a great time.

Our romantic dinner of subs, chips and sparkling grape juice. :)
Followed by some delicious indoor S'mores!
In the morning we walked around down town and went window shopping and looked at some of the neat architecture.
We met President George W. and his father former Pres. Bush. (They have a wax museum down town, but they weren't open when we got there, so all we could see were these guys in the window).
One of the many historical bath houses
We then went to Garvan Gardens. We didn't get to spend as much time as we would like there, but the part we did see was really pretty!

Big News

Oops!

Blake is trying really hard to figure out how to crawl but he keeps going backwards. Today he backed himself up under a side table and got stuck. Poor guy, but Matt and I couldn't help but laugh.

Good job daddy!

Matt finished his first year of law school! We are very excited because from what we have heard it is the hardest year. Also, Matt received another scholarship for next semester. WAY TO GO!
(Blake was too wiggly while we made this sign so his hands are a little deformed)

20 weeks and counting!

I am half way there. I am showing a lot more at 20 weeks with this baby than I did with Blake. As long as I get a morning nap (I know, I know...this will be the last time I will ever get a nap) I feel great! Not too long before I hopefully find out what I am having.

PIES

My friend Lindsay Frost is starting a little pie making business from home. If you ever need dessert, but don't have time to make it, or you just have a craving for some yummy pie, you should check out her pie blog. You'll get tasty pies for a good price. Here is the link http://www.sugarspice-pies.blogspot.com/ . (You can also find the link on the side of my blog under misc. links, labeled Yummy pies).

Kiss the Cook

Since I have been married I have learned that I like (not love) to cook, as long as it doesn't take for ever. For example making Lasagna takes forever, at least the way I was taught to make it. I already told Matt not to expect me to ever make lasagna, unless it comes from a frozen package. I want to be better about having a variety of dinners, and I thought I would ask all of you who happen to be reading this what quick dinner recipes you like.
