Thursday morning we woke up to a very thin layer of snow on the ground. It looked so cold! Blake had preschool that morning so I got the kids dressed in their warmest winter clothing. They looked very similar to this kid (minus all the snow):
When we got to the school I realized we stuck out in our winter apparel because all the other kids where dressed like this (minus the hat. My kids were the only ones wearing a hat!)

Natalie, that's so funny! How's Blake's preschool going?
If it makes you feel any better, I always think the first official snow fall seems to feel colder than any other. Then you adjust and after 5 months of snow and cold it doesn't even phase you! ( I wish)
I am sure when we got back to Arizona for Christmas we will be in shorts cause 70 compared to 30's is HOT!! Us Arizonians should just stay where we belong!
OK! Weird thing just happened. ha ha I was just browsing around looking at your blog and I came across this post where you announced that you were due June 6th. And then I notice that you had posted it about a year ago. (Nov 17th) Well funny thing is, I am expecting and I am due June 6th. LOL I just can't believe it. It totally threw me for a loop. Sorry this has nothing to do with your blog post and is totally random but I just thought it was so crazy. Anyway...love you lots! :)
Hey, how is Colorado going? I feel like it has been forever since we last talked. Things in Arkansas are going pretty well. Brian is getting ready for finals, then we are headed to AZ for a good month for Christmas. Hopefully you will be in town too and we can get together sometime. Your kids are adorable. Can't believe how big they all are getting. People in the ward still talk about the Backus's a lot. Your family was very much loved here. We were glad we had you guys as references when we first moved here. All we have to say is that we are friends of the Backus family and it is like we are instant friends with them.
