Tyler Robert Backus was born September 22nd (his exact due date) at 9:29pm. Weight: 7lbs 8oz, Length:20 1/4 in. The day started off with us going to the hospital about 8:30 am (i had been having regular contractions since 4:30am) However, when we got there the nurse told us that I wasn't dilated and that I was only 30% effaced. So we were sent home. I continued to have contractions, and we went on several walks and ate Mexican food. At about 4:30pm my contractions were really hurting and we went back to the hospital, but I was afraid they would tell me that I wasn't dilated again so Matt and I walked some more around the hospital. At 5:45 we decided that it was time to go and check in again. We had the same nurse from that morning and she told us again that I wasn't dilated!! I was almost in tears. She said that she would get another nurse to check me just to make sure. Well, that nurse said I was a four!!! The doctor came at 8:45 to break my water and by 9:30 Tyler was here! We are so happy to finally meet him. We love him so much.

Yeah! COngratulations! I love that family picture. I can't believe that the one nurse said you weren't dilated, and the other said you were 4cm...that's kind of a big difference. YAY I am so happy for you that eveything went ok! I love the name Tyler (mostly cause I married one and it contributed to Masons middle name:)! Congrats, he looks so cute! It sounds like everything went well for you. I can't believe that nurse said you weren't dilated, I'm glad she had someone else check. That's pretty cool he was born on his due date, not very many are. I'm actually hoping for ours to come a little early, but knowing my luck he'll be late :).

I am so happy for you guys! Kelli called me last night and told me that you had had Tyler and then Sam jumped on the phone to call Matt. Sorry, we get really excited!!! Exact due date huh?? Lucky women, Heavenly Father loves you!! He makes the ones he doesnt like so much go a week over! He is beautiful and you have a beautiful family!! Congrats! Can't wait to meet him!
