Today I decided that I would take Blake's paci away. I have been thinking about it for a while and today when I was putting Blake down for his nap I couldn't find his paci. I knew it was probably under the crib, but I didn't want to go searching for it (lazy, I know). I have always told myself that once I made this decision there was no going back and giving in. So wish me luck , because this won't be pretty.

Good Luck! I have seen my sister go through this process with her own kids. They are really crabby for a few days and then it is like they never had a paci. I am sure it will be easier with out it. Can't wait to see you and your boys.
HA HA--When Brodee had his I kept saying that I was going to take it away, but I would always give in. Then, TYler went out of town and his binki went under our bed and I couldn't get it! It stayed there and I had no excuse to give it back to him cause I couldn't get it. Best thing that ever happened!!! GOod luck!
Hey Good Luck! I am a big baby when it comes to little ones crying about stuff and I just give in, so be strong!
Good luck. The great thing is that little kids are blessed with coping skills. They can adjust to the change quicker than we can. Lily had a hard couple of days when we made the choice to knock the habit. It was great! just keep them out of sight... relaps are possible. :(
GOOD LUCK! Stay strong!! Allie was OBSESSED with her paci and we finally had to take it away. It's good that you are doing it sooner than later! There were a couple times where we'd say, forget it! Where's the dang paci! But I'm so glad we stuck with it! It really didn't take her too long. Those first couple of days were pretty rough, but she, and we, got used to it. You're such a good mommy! Dito to what Lindsay said! I can't wait to see you!! How long will you be here? When are we getting together? Do you know what days you are available yet?? I can't wait to see your boys! And so Matt won't feel left out...we can't wait to see Matt, too!!
Oh no! Good Luck. Tate still gets his at bedtime and in sacrament meeting. I should take his away, too...but then I think about all the crying that will probably occur and the loss of sleep for both of us, and then I just give it to him. You'll have to give me some pointers. Does Tyler take a pacifier? Hopefully Blake doesn't steal it!!
p.s. Tate and I are in love with the pumpkin pancakes! (Chris is too picky) BUt we all loved the white chili! Thanks for the recipes!
